A pin makes an item much easier to access for users.
Pinned items will...
- Show up at the top of list pages.
- Show up at the top of selector dialogs.
- Be included in the shortcuts overlay on the home page.
To pin an item:
- Go to the list page for the item.
- Find the item and click the
button to pin it. - The button should change to
, showing that the item is pinned. - Click the button again to unpin the item.
Not all features support pins. Alerts, dashboards, devices, geo fences, models, organizations, reports, and widgets can all be pinned.
All other features (e.g. users, data files) cannot be pinned.
Pinned items can be accessed quickly from the Shortcuts overlay on the home page.
