Chart Signal Type

There are two types of signals that can be used in charts.

More types of signals will be coming to Spoke Zone soon. Stay tuned!

Time Signals

Add time signals to charts to organize data chronologically.

Time signals cannot be added to map charts.

Adding to Charts

Click the button in a chart's setup.

ConfigurationCAN Signals

Add CAN signals to charts to view and analyze data uploaded in trace files.

Adding to Charts
  1. Click the button in a chart's setup.
  2. Select a CAN message.
  3. Check the desired signals and apply changes.
    • Click the button to add all signals from a CAN message.
ConfigurationThresholds

Thresholds can be added to individual CAN signals. Data points that meet the threshold will be included in the results, while all other values will be filtered out from the results.

To add a threshold to a signal:

  1. Click the button in the chart header to access the chart's setup.
  2. Select a signal to add a threshold to.
  3. Toggle the Threshold button at the bottom of the dialog.
  4. Select an operator and enter the value to compare data against.
  5. Click the button to save the changes.

The thresholds feature is very useful when used with signals in the statistics comparison chart. The Count statistic can be used to determine how many times a specific threshold was met over the entire date range.
