The billing feature calculates the monthly bill for an organization based on the cellular usage of the devices managed by the organization and data storage fees.
Bills are sent out monthly, as noted by the Billing Period date range at the top of the page. The billing period starts at 00:00 UTC on the 19th of each month.
This feature is only accessible to super users. See this page for more info.
This table contains a list of all the devices managed by the organization, whether they use cellular data. Devices that use cellular have an ICCID, while devices that do not use cellular have no ICCID.
The total data used by the device, in bytes, is displayed at the right. The total data used by all devices is aggregated into the Total Data Usage readout at the top of the page.
Any device that was enabled at any time during the billing period is included in the bill.
There are three parts to an organization's bill:
- Data Pool Fee
- We offer various data plans to customers depending on their needs.
- An organization's data plan is selected in the General section of their organization page.
- The number of data pools is determined by taking the total data usage for all the devices and dividing it by the data plan size.
- There is always at least one data pool for each device that had an activated SIM card.
- For example, if an organization has 4 activated SIM cards but only uses 3 MB of data on a 1 MB data plan, they are billed for 4 data pools.
- Storage Fee
- The monthly storage fee is based on the total size of the data files.
- Device Fee
- Any device that was enabled at any time during the billing period is included in the bill.
