Home Page

The home page features two main items: the live map and several overlays.

Live Map

The live map provides a constantly updating view of the most recent locations of GPS-enabled devices. Any devices that do not broadcast their GPS location will not be shown on this map.

Overlays

There are few different overlays that provide information about and/or quick access to a variety of features.

Devices

The Devices overlay in the top left corner can be used to see the status of all devices in the organization (even devices that don't broadcast GPS coordinates).

Announcements

The Announcements overlay, located in the top left corner next to the Devices overlay, shows all active announcements that the user has not yet acknowledged and allows the user to send feedback to developers with any concerns or suggestions.

Shortcuts

The Shortcuts overlay in the top right corner can be used to quickly navigate to pinned items.

See this page for info on how to pin items.

Clicking on a shortcut will route to the specific page for whatever was pinned, bypassing the list page. For example, clicking on a shortcut for a dashboard routes straight to that dashboard, and clicking on a shortcut for a device routes straight to that device's editor.

Items can be unpinned right from the overlay (as opposed to doing it in the list page) by clicking the button on the shortcut.

Additionally, there is a Top Viewed section within the overlay that includes shortcuts to your most viewed items.

To enable the top viewed shortcuts, go to the section of the Settings page and make identified tracking is turned on. More information about this can be found here.

Device Info

The Device Info overlay in the bottom right corner can be used to view details about a device, and quickly access different features related to the device.

The icon buttons at the bottom of the overlay provide shortcuts to the dashboards, model, and alerts related to the selected device. The device can also be pinned/unpinned from the overlay.

This overlay is only visible when a device is selected from the Devices overlay.

A last online date of Unknown means the selected device has not published any data to Spoke Zone since 2022 or before: either it has never broadcasted data at all or it last broadcasted data many years ago. The last online system was implemented in 2022, so we can't be certain about devices' status prior to that date.
