A device represents a physical device out in the real world. They can send and receive MQTT and other data to Spoke Zone for use in reports and dashboards, with the format and interpretation of that data being determined by the device's model.
- Open the navigation menu.
- Select the Devices item.
- Double-click the desired device.

The device editor has three sections, first for configuring the basic settings of the device, second for specifying details of its SIM card, and the third for deleting data associated with the device.
- Identifier
- The name shown for the device across the platform for all users except clients.
- User Identifier
- The name shown for the device for clients.
- Allows the dealer and/or OEM to specify how the device will appear for the client.
- Serial Number
- The device's serial number is set upon creation and cannot be edited.
- Status
- Activate or disable the device.
- Customer
- Specifies which organization owns/operates the device.
- OEM
- Specifies what organization manufactured the equipment the device controls.
- Model
- Specify what model the device uses for sending and receiving data.
- ICCID
- The unique ID code of the SIM card.
- SIM Status
- The activation status of the device's SIM card.
This section allows the user to remove device data from the platform.
- API Calls
- History of all the API requests made by the device.
- Device State
- The device's last online timestamp, location, and software version.
- Data Files
- Data files uploaded by the device.
